Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They possess the same attributes and are equal in power. (Gen. 1:26-27; Jn. 1:1-4)

We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection on the third day, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His position as the only mediator between God and man, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Matt. 1:18-23; Rom. 1:3-4; Jn. 1:14, 18; Col. 2:9; 1 Cor. 15:20; Heb. 1:3)

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit through faith alone in Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead is absolutely essential and the only means by which an individual may be forgiven of sin. Everyone who puts their trust in Jesus Christ is forgiven and adopted into the family of God. Salvation is a gracious work of God, not a work of man. (Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 5:1; Tit. 3:5; Jn. 1:12)

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whom a Christian is enabled to live a godly life and is equipped for service. (Jn. 16:7-11)

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ as their Head. (1 Cor. 12:12-13; Col. 1:18)

We believe the local church is for the benefit of all believes within a community through preaching, corporate worship, encouragement, practice of the ordinances (communion and baptism), and evangelism. (Heb. 10:24-25; Matt. 28:1-20; 1 Cor. 11:23-29)

We believe that God created the world and all it contains in six literal days. (Gen. 1-2)
