I want to take a moment and thank you for considering the Beacon Program. It is exciting to think that Legacy Christian Academy will be entering the eighth year of its Beacon Program. The Beacon Program has been specifically designed to provide an on-campus experience for families enrolled in charter schools, PSPs, or other homeschool providers. Students enrolled in the Beacon Program will be able to participate in classes in the fields of Science, Spanish, Writing, and Drama—all taught by our exceptional staff.

The 2016-2017 Beacon Program consists of the following components:

  • Friday Enrichment Classes: Designed for students in grades K-6, this on-campus Friday experience will allow students to participate in the subjects of Science, Spanish, and Writing on most Fridays throughout the school year. The students will attend all three classes on a weekly basis (see Beacon Schedule). Students will attend classes in three separate learning clusters: K/1st, 2nd/3rd, and 4th-6th. Classes are 55 minutes in length.
  • Ancillary Opportunities: In addition to the core classes on Fridays, students will also have the opportunity to visit the school library, attend chapel services, enjoy a supervised lunch with their friends, and participate in a drama production (drama is reserved for 2nd-6th grade students). All Beacon students will also have the opportunity to take part in the Accelerated Reader and MIND Math programs.
  • Annual Activities: Finally, Beacon students will be invited to take part in some of Legacy’s major school functions, such as the Thanksgiving Feast, Snow Day, and VIP Day.
Please note that each learning cluster or class will be capped at twenty students so it is important to complete registration as early as possible.
Again, thank you for your interest in Legacy Christian Academy’s Beacon Program. Please let us know if you have any questions.
