Statement of Faith

We believe…the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)

We believe…there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They possess the same attributes and are equal in power. (Gen. 1:26-27; Jn. 1:1-4)

We believe…in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection on the third day, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His position as the only mediator between God and man, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Matt. 1:18-23; Rom. 1:3-4; Jn. 1:14, 18; Col. 2:9; 1 Cor. 15:20; Heb. 1:3)

We believe…that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit through faith alone in Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead is absolutely essential and the only means by which an individual may be forgiven of sin. Everyone who puts their trust in Jesus Christ is forgiven and adopted into the family of God. Salvation is a gracious work of God, not a work of man. (Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 5:1; Tit. 3:5; Jn. 1:12)

We believe…in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whom a Christian is enabled to live a godly life and is equipped for service. (Jn. 16:7-11)

We believe…in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ as their Head. (1 Cor. 12:12-13; Col. 1:18)

We believe…the local church is for the benefit of all believers within a community through preaching, corporate worship, encouragement, practice of the ordinances (communion and baptism), and evangelism. (Heb. 10:24-25; Matt. 28:1-20; 1 Cor. 11:23-29)

We believe…that God created the world and all it contains in six literal days. (Gen. 1-2)

We believe…that God created each person as either male or female in conformity with their biological sex. These two distinct yet complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Gen. 1)
