Welcome from Legacy's Heads of School

Thank you for your interest in Legacy Christian Academy, a premiere K-12 Christian, independent, private school. Where you send your child to school is certainly one of the most important decisions you will make for your child and one that should not be made lightly. At Legacy, we are passionate about educating students in a manner that prepares them to be innovative, thoughtful, service-oriented, 21st century leaders...leaders with strong character. This takes place in classrooms that are filled with a joy and an excitement for learning, taught by credentialed classroom teachers who love education and who love their students. A 13:1 student teacher ratio allows for individualized attention that allows our Legacy students to feel safe, known, and loved. Each of our classes are taught through a Christian worldview allowing for a distinctly-Christian environment where students mature and grow in character, confidence, critical-thinking, collaboration, creativity, communication, and leadership.

You have probably heard this already, but students at Legacy fall in love with learning. Our research-based and carefully chosen curriculum, coupled with our excellent and passionate faculty, allows Legacy students to have a strong foundation in reading comprehension, writing, mathematics, and social science. But we don’t stop there. In our dedicated science lab, students regularly participate in hands-on science experiments. In our computer lab, students are not only learn about the fundamentals of technology, they also get to build their own computers, networks, and websites. Students regularly interact with technology in the classroom that is a used as a tool to increase learning and understanding. Because the ability to speak other languages is so important, students learn Spanish beginning in Kindergarten, and even have the opportunity to learn Mandarin as well. In an education system that is dropping art, students at Legacy have the opportunity to do so much more than just "arts and crafts”, they learn to think and create like artists. Students also have the opportunity to learn about the truths found in Scripture as they learn from their classroom teachers, from their Bible class, and in our weekly chapels.

There are some excellent choices for education in and around the Santa Clarita Valley. And, although facts and figures help tell our story, nothing can take the place of visiting our campus. That’s why we encourage you to take the time to get to know us, not only through this website, but more importantly, in person. We would cherish an opportunity to meet with you, show you around our beautiful campus, and have you meet some of our remarkable staff, students, and parents. I am sure you will see a joy of learning in our community that will excite you about the future of your child’s education.
