Sam Minyard, Math

In the classroom, Sam Minyard inspires his students to think critically, empowering them to explore the wonders of mathematics with enthusiasm and curiosity, while uncovering the beauty of patterns in the world around them.

Betsy Tobon, Spanish

Since 2001, Betsy Tobon has been teaching a variety of Spanish classes at LCA. With a background in world languages, ancient history, and literature, she has dedicated her career to nurturing critical thought in the high school classroom. Betsy has conducted seminars on project-based learning, blogging, developing critical thinking skills, trends in 21st-century learning, philosophy, and intercultural communication, and has led many student trips to Spanish-speaking countries over the past two decades.

Josh Goertzen, Bible

Josh Goertzen has served as a Bible teacher at Legacy Christian Academy for 3 years. In addition to his classroom role, he enjoys leading many student trips and speaking at various class retreats, enhancing the spiritual and educational experiences of the school community. With his commitment to both his family and his profession, Josh embodies the values of faith, family, and lifelong biblical learning.
